Halo 3?

Anyone going to go out and get it tonight? If you already did and are reading this thread how long was the line? Also, did you get a copy of the game?

For those who have already played it what do you think of it? I think the demo looked pretty legit, but who knows maybe the demo represents the game nothing like it really is. I will probably end up getting it but it will probably be in a week or two, after the lines hopfully have died down; and I can get myself a copy of the game.

Tell us what you guys think.

I'll be picking it up on my lunch break tomorrow. My husband's birthday is this weekend, and he has no idea that I'm getting it for him. I've also invited some of his FPS buddies over, and I'm going to have CtrlAltDel's Spartan vs. Spartan comic put on the cake.

I have played it and i was so used to Halo 2 i didnt really know what to think of the game . I played it on my friends Xbox and TV and his TV isnt bright so it was hard to see .

I didnt really like the story because the old games' objectives was to just get to a certain point and kill anything in your path. Halo 3's story has a bigger story, but there are a lot of empty, confusing parts so sometimes it gets boring.

But then again i didnt play it that long and i was used to the older games, so you may have different opinions on it when you play.

The thing I found disappointing was I kept hearing there was 4 person co-op, but it turns out that you can only do up to 2 people on split screen.

Now I've gotten a lot of flack over this today, and I realize that not everybody is used to playing split screen. But we've almost always had big screen TVs it seems like. Our current is a 65 inch. So there's plenty of space for everyone. And then there's the fact that back in our early gaming days, online console gaming didn't exist. There was no online option for the N64, for Goldeneye, for Perfect Dark. We split screened it.

Anyway. I've been hearing a lot of people just act shocked that anyone plays split screen anymore.

I've been wanting to get Halo only for the MMO ability. I'm not really into the story though. I think I may be gettin' it for Christmas. ^_^

in my opinion halo 3 is a great game.. too bad it's the last in the series... although the lines to get the game was enormous.. and i thhink they broke the record for the number of copies sold in opening day.. i guess people didn't want to read spoilers everywhere so they decided to get the game quickly and beat it as soon as possible... i myself am thinking of buying a 360 just to get the halo series and follow the storyline of it...

Apparently they are doing another series set before the current one. So it looks like you could be in luck. And yes I sometimes think of getting a 360 just for halo then my resonability kicks in

Its no wonder that they are trying to make more money out of the franchise, I think Halo 3 had the record for the highest grossing game before it even came out
