How come my dad thinks world of warcraft is bad?

I want to play this game and my best friend at school gets to play it and he says it is the funest game he ever played. My dad says I can't play becuz it like teaches bad things. What is so bad about it?I'm 12 and I will be 13 in December

first of all probably because world of warcraft has fighting in it our something and secondly its a stupid game you have to pay $12 per month just to play it

I think its because people get soo addicted to WoW that they they forget about their life. People your age will stop doing homework, chores, or exercising. Yah its prolly a good thing if you don't play WoW.

Some people get addicted to it and that is the only thing they do. My brother in law is 14, he has been playing it since it came out, and he gets his computer taking away all the time cause he obsess about it. He wont do anything and gets very angry if he has to leave his room for anything, but honestly that can go for ANY video game. I'm sure your father has probably heard not so good things about it and thats why he is against it, personally it doesn't seem like it would be worse than any other T rated game (WoW is rated T).

Ugh... I play it.. and I hate it! I finally quit for like 6 months and my friend talked me into playing it again. It is an addiction and I highly suggest not picking it up. I mean, sure it is fun, but it is also working for nothingness. Everybody becomes the same (gear, skills, etc.) Focus on your school work and other more important things. This game is causing me to do poorly in some of my college classes (not that it's the only reason) and I really have to work on canceling again.
