it's cool. sometimes you just like people, and you can't really do anything about it. you can't help who you like. for example, i have this friend, and last year he was a senior (high school) and he liked this girl who was a freshman. he didn't have the wrong intentions, he liked her becuase she was a really cool girl and they had shared interests. Even though they had really different social circles, and he was three years older than her, it didn't stop him from liking her. one time he told me that you can't help who you like, you just do.

Is it odd? Of course not! Too bad our generation makes it out to be that way. Too bad we judge people based on their social status rather than their hearts and personalities. I say good for you! You obviously like him because he's a cool guy. Maybe not the most literal definition of cool, but cool to you. I commend you for not being shallow in the first place and crushing on this guy because of his personality. What exactly are you asking for here? Just advice? I think you know how you feel. You know you like him, but you don't want to be teased or whatever, right? Well, you'd be surprised how understanding friends can be when you need them to be. If anything, I think this will make you even cooler. Hey, lol, look at Danny in Grease! He was the coolest guy and Sandy was the type his gang would make fun of. Well, he got over that in the end and Sandy turned out to be awesome! Whatever you decide, please remember that social status should never be the base for deciding who you befriend or date.
