I have 4 level 70 character with full T-6 armor, i've put over 2 years in making them, now people (who dont play the game) feel that they have the right to say things about WoW that are not true, so unless you play the game or have play'd the game in the past i dont want your answers.I have friends and other people who odnt play WoW and have never played it telling me that i am wasting my life playing it, i am only 16 i rly think that i can spend my own "life" how i want it, i work and i do all the normal teen crap, but i still spend allot of time on my WoW Characters, i dont personally think they are a waste of time, in a year or so i can sell my characters for 300 - 600$ each what do you say to that haters?Woot Rachel P, Thats what i like to hear.Hahahaha, i'm not saying i have an addiction to WoW and i do have a girl friend, the question was simply Is WoW a waste of life. And i do go days with out playing it, i have my driver's liecence and a job, i dont see why though people (parents mostley) are telling me that i am wasting my time on WoW when honestly i dont rly play it all the time, also my girl friend plays it also, so tech. i am doing other things apart from WoW even inside WoWsb_vlad, i get the feeling that you have never played it b4, the thing is you are being social when you are playing possibly even more social than if you were outside, you are playing with 1000's of people all around the world and you make allot of friends on there. Pick up i copy i would gladly pay for a month for you to get you hooked on it.

If you are not obsessed by your game playing, like an addict is obsessed with chemicals, gambling, or physical relations, then I say it can be something you simply enjoy. If you constantly HAVE TO play that game (which I see no point to) or your day isn't complete, then I would say you are in deep trouble by being addicted, and are wasting valuable personal time in your life that you could be using to do other - MORE IMPORTANT - things. If others are telling you that you are spending too much time playing a GAME, then I would listen to them for your own good.

you are right, it is a waste of life, but what a fun waste of life it is though. I've been playing for only 9 months and I wish I would have started sooner. You are right though, at 15 bucks a month, that is 180 a year, if you can seel your guys for 600 bucks, look at the profit you made, you just played wow for free for 2 years. I'm 29 and play, so with you being only 16, you have a lot of wow ahead of you. Keep playing and long live the alliance.

The answer is Yes and No. Yes - its waste of life if you stop normal daily activities and being social outside of the game. Humans are by nature a social creature and while the on-line world provides social interaction, the lack of in person social activities is a big negative. So if you stop going out with friends, work and school suffer then yes its a waste of life.No - If your playing when you have free time but its not negative to your work/social/school life then no its not a waste of life. Its a hobby and like any good hobby in moderation its a good thing. So ignore the ones who are saying its a waste of life, as long as your happy and enjoying yourself and not letting it impact your real world interactions its all good. Its when it becomes an obsession and you start to stop real life interactions with others is when the waste comes into play and that is when you need to step away from the game or get help.2-cents spent.

Why play a game with no end? My husband played for two years and I almost left him. He got to 60, then they came out with the expansion pack, then again with another and I told him flat out...get a freakin life cause the one you know now is about to come crashing in on you. Then one day I packed my stuff and was getting ready to leave and he finally 'got it'. He sold his account (and I must say the money we made from him selling his character was nice!) lol We got $500 for a well equipped high level charachter. (I dunno the specifics, as I never waste my time with stupid life absorbing computer games) but I couldn't believe people are willing to pay that much.It is, however a big wast of time. Go OUT and enjoy yourself. You will never accomplish anything wasting away for years and years playing a game. They don't call it World of WarCRACK for nothing.

all things should be taken in moderation, its simply not good for you to spend all day playing wow and doing nothing else. Especially if you're monitoring the time at family events because you have to leave early to get to the raid and stuff like that. Its a fun game, enjoy it, but remember that it wont take care of you if you get sick.

I'm in my late 30's. I have three level 70 toons. I have a fulltime job and a family. As long as I am meeting my responsibilities, I don't beat myself up over how I spend my free time. My husband plays too. To me, WoW is not a waste. It is a fun and challenging way to spend my free time. It is also some of the cheapest, and most engaging entertainment available. My husband and I can go to the movies ONCE, or we can play WoW together all month. As a young person who raids, you are also learning some pretty valuable lessons, whether you realize or not. Cooperation and team work; time and skill management; analyzing your performance and making adjustments to improve, etc. All of these things that you do without thinking in WoW are very useful in real life. I don't really respond to the haters. It's not their time, money or life. ETA: If the haters are parents, point out to them what you are learning in game, as I mentioned above. And you are correct, the game IS social. I have actually been able to overcome some measure of shyness due to playing WoW.

If your priorities don't look anything like this:1. WoW2. God3. Education4. FamilyThan I'm pretty sure you'll be alright. On the other hand, don't trick yourself into thinking WoW is not your top priority...(if it really is). Making $600.00 in two years would be like making less than a dollar a day. So don't justify your vice on your financial profit. I've always believed it's best to live life in moderation, even though I have a hard time like you balancing my life the way I need to, but that's with everyone. Life is whatever you make of it, but you also have to think about the possible precautions. What's happening to your social life? Are your grades up? Are you doing your chores? Are you healthy? If all of these are still in tact, I see NO problem with what you are doing. You're still young and if there is any advice I would give you now, it would be to remember how old you are and how that MIGHT effect the value of your judgment in something like this. Good Luck.
