Is grinding on World of Warcraft faster than quests?

I have read many guides and some tell me grinding creeps owns questing and other guides tell me the opposite. So what is the best way to level?P.S im lvl 53, in Western Plaguelands right now

Questing is definitely faster than just grinding, especially in the level 20-60 range. This was a change that was made semi-recently and probably well after those guides were written.

Questing is better. Espetially if you can COMBINE it with grinding.90% of all quests are either "Go out and kill X of something." or "Go out and get of X of something from Y monster."If you do these quests, you not only get the EXP from the monsters your take out, but you also get the quest experience when you are done.People say grinding is better because you don't waste time running back to the quest givers. Overlap your quests if you can, doing more than one in an area, to help reduce this time loss.

The best way to level from experience of trying both methods is definatley doing quests especially as you hit the higher levels. Trying to grind mobs at level 60 with 400,000 + XP to get to level 61 is just going to take forever. Honestly, it is not hard at all to do the quests in WoW they give you a big XP bonus on top of the XP you get from mobs that you usually have to kill to complete a quest.They have made it much easier to get to level 60 now by reducing the XP cost to level and increasing the quest XP you receive. We reached level 60 in around 5 days game time as opposed to around 7 days or more before they changed the XP you receive.If you are having trouble with quests you can type the quest into a WoW database such as 'Thottbot' where people will post and describe what to do along with the co-ordinates for the quest (to get map co-ordinates you will need to download an addon such as 'Cosmos'.)There is also another addon which will help you - 'Quest Helper'. This addon actually plots co-ordinates of any quests in your quest log on the map and will show you the best route to take to do them.For downloading addons try - http://wow.curse.com/downloads/addons/

questing is faster..... if combined with grinding..... and if you dont wanna do quests... just run an instance..... if lvl 16 - 20.... deadmines...... lvl 20 - 25 black fathom deeps of stockades.... and if your a twink..... get a guildie or a friend to run you threw scarlet monastary lvl 32-39... you get torcher poker..... lvl 19- 29.... twink item.... for rogues...

Untill the past patch griding could be sometimes better but now questing is the best hands down, even the grinding guid authors confirm ithttp://www.wow-pro.com/node/692go for one of the James versions
