Default World of Warcraft - IP Bans!?!?

So I found out Blizzard can IP ban people? I just want to know when they would actually do this, like in what situation? Also, what is an IP ban? You just can't log on to your WoW account with your current computer??

They do this in cases of either one extreme case of abuse (hacking) or if you ignore normal bans. In an IP ban you cannot use your current Internet to log into your WoW account as the IP is decided by your Internet Service Provider not by you are your computer. You also can't get this changed, Blizzard thinks they are never wrong.

idk, the circumstances for an IP ban. But, i do know what an IP ban is, every computer has an IP address and if you get Ip banned that comp can no longer get onto WoW also they would ban your current account so you couldn't log onto that account on any one elses comp!!! Bummer.

Yes, Blizzard can IP ban people. They do this when people are caught using bots, hacks, etc. and occasionally when people continually violate less serious rules. An IP Ban is a ban on your computer's IP Address, which is unique to your computer. If you have WoW installed on another computer, your account will still be banned, so you will have to use another CD Key to have access to WoW.
