Online simualtion games?
It has to be Second Life. You can do almost everything you do in The Sims, but bigger, better and a lot more fun.You start out with a basic avatar and get to choose from one of five or six shapes/styles each for male or female. Then you go through an orientation process where you learn the basics of SL. After that, you are whisked off to Help Island where you can take your time to learn how to build a few things, chat with fellow newbies, or pick up some freebie items. After that, you get teleported to a welcome area and from now on you're on your own.Well, not quite. You can now begin exploring the vast world that is Second Life. In the welcome area you will see lots of people who look just like you, but you will see others that look incredibly different, with skin, hair, eyes and clothes that look amazingly real. Some will look very strange - vampires, elves, samurai warriors, angels, even robots. You can make your avatar look like anything you want.Next thing is that you will want to meet some like-minded people - especially if you want a boy/girlfriend in Second Life. For the sake of argument, let's say you like horses and you enjoy blues music. You do a search for 'groups' and type in 'horses'. You now get a list of every group in SL that has something to do with word 'horses'. Not all will be about riding horses, but you'll find some with lots of members who all go riding in Second Life, so you join that group. Now you do another search in groups, but this time, your keyword is 'blues'. you now get a list of every group that has something to do with the blues. Some are affectionardos of blues music, others are clubs that play blues music and some are for live performers in SL who play blues. you can join a few of these if you wish. after a while, you will get notices about events that your groups put on and before the first day is over, you will probably find yourself invited to a blues club. This is where you get to meet like-minded people and your avatar can dance the night away. The other thing you will find is classes that teach you how to make things like buildings or jewellery. Almost all of these classes are free.Second Life is absolutely huge and there are so many things to do that it's impossible to list everything here. But you can get married and you can even have children, although someone will be playing your Second Life child. Best to find a willing friend to take on the role.Look at these videos to get some idea of the things you can do in SL.http://youtube.com/watch?v=xxj8RTW4ev4http://youtube.com/watch?v=ovL4pZod_gwhttp://youtube.com/watch?v=8NOHRJB9uyIAnd to join Second Life, go to:http://www.secondlife.comYou need a credit card to join. This is a security measure - not for payment. Paying to play Second Life is purely optional - there is no trial period. If you want to update to paying you can do that later. Your credit card also allows you to buy in-world money should you wish to, but it is very affordable and won't break your bank.
