Galuddyns Freetrader Plantation Owner:
1 Shipyard: 3 Lots, Havanna 1 Lumbermill: 1 Lot 1 Textile Mill: 1 Lot, Havanna 2 Plantations: 2 Lots, Havanna 1 Provisioner: 1 Lot, Havanna 1 Fir Camp: 1 Lot 1 Blacksmith: 1 Lot, Havanna So alot of people might be looking at this and saying, what the hell? How are you going to do anything with this? Well its a little bit more powerful I think, than many people realize. With this build I can create just about any item needed for a ship, the only problem is I need to purchase the raw materials. The only raw materials I produce myself are hemp, fir wood, and some food products. Hemp being for the sails, fir wood being for the level 20ish ships. I believe that since the unfinished goods will be fairly cheap, that I can produce the finished goods for people and make a good bundle. I decided on putting this under plantation owner build since my main goal will be to produce sails and riggings, which I can do on my own. |

Ship Provisioner
1 Provisioner: 1 Slot, Havana 2 Plantations: 2 Slots, Havana 1 Curing Shed: 1 Slot, Havana 1 Fishing Lodge: 1 Slot Havana 1 Slaughterhouse: Havana 1 Pasture: 1 Slot Havana 1 Grain Mill: 1 Slot Havana 1 Rum Distillary: 1 Slot Havana 1 Sugar Refinery: 1 Slot Havana This is an open build for anyone interested in being a ship provisioner. All locations are optional and are suggested due to their proximity to Havanna, our home port. As you can see with this build, you dont have to leave Havana, except to get supplies. And yes, Provisioning needs more supplies, alot more. First, what you need all together for Provisions: 1 Cheese, Common : Is Solo Produced with this build 1 Fish, Cured : Is Solo Produced with this build 5 Hardtack : Is Solo Produced with this build 2 Meat, Cured : Is Solo Produced with this build 4 Rum : Need Sugarcane and Oak Barrels 2 Sack of Beans : Is Solo Produced with this build 1 Sugar, Refined : Need Sugarcane 5 Wheat Flour : Solo Produced with this build 6 Wine, Common : Need to Purchase this finished good. The good thing about this build is that you can do 90% of it on your own, and in havana no less. The only bad thing is that since there is so many good needed, you need to purchase Wine, Oak Barrels, and Sugarcane. Since only 1 of those is a finished good, you should have a great time and make some good friends who can do winemaking. If anyone wants to use this tell me how it works out, and I'll add you as the Socities Provisioner. |

What experience I learned is that Wine and Rum do seem to be a bottleneck at times while the other items weren't all that difficult to gather and even easier to find with a FT checking all AH views. My guild provissioner happen to be Naval Officer, but then swapping completed provissions for Ship Deeds became an easy assignment.
Towards the end of Closed Beta, I spent as much labor making Smelling Salts as they sold well and with the then addition of wandering NPCs, just made death during swashbuckling more persistant from pulling aggro. I still do not personally believe in multiple production is more efficient. I was as often finding 3 days worth of stored labor and or buildings shutdown due to lack of upkeep. Having a 2nd plantation helped after they updated the Cheese recipe to Maize instead of Livestock (which were consumed ie killed). Cured Fish and Meat could be found for under 25 dbs with reasonable volumes bought in bulk. Now the Curing Shed has been blended into the Slaughterhouse since the last 'live' update. A suprise, when i opened a fishing lodge, it also contained a small shipyard. The other angle to take is improve Euro faction and do trade-ins with the Barilla trader. At first glance, it doesn't seem worth it for ratio, but increasing the right reputations will lower their quantity demand for the same reward returned. From what I recall, certain Pirate clans gave favorable faction hits with the corresponding Spanish, French or British traders. Of course avoid encounters with Convoys such as East India, Mississippi or Dutch West India when you can.
