Dune 2000

Yo, who here plays dune 2000?
I'm the man at it, but for some reason i seam to have lost my touch
I am having trouble with one of the atreides missions, its 7 or 8, 7 i think, the one where you first get fremen, anyway i just can't get passed it, my base just gets attacked again and again, wave after wave, i have tried all i can think of, all i can do is hold out for a little longer,

i have passed it before, years ago, but i dont remember how? any help?

Yes.... Go upgrade your pc and get a new badass RTS game... Like tiberium wars XD

my pc runs windows XP pro and Linux SUSE 10.2
it has some decent specs, it is still crappy.
but the main reason i play Dune 2000 is because it owns and is the hardest RTS i have ever played, and my friend has tiberium wars and it is ok, and the reason is because it is based on Dune 2000, and the AI isn't as hard, face it, there arent many RTS's better than Dune 2000

"This battle is a little bit tougher than the previous battles. You’ll now
have to fight Ordos and Harkonnen. The Harkonnen base is at the lower right
and the Ordos is at the lower left. Now, here’s what you might encounter. In
the beginning of the battle, around 5 minutes after you start, an Ordos
Saboteur will infiltrate your base. So, I suggest that you build Rocket
Turrets as fast as possible and close all entry points. Trust me, those
Saboteurs will be very annoying. There are 2 openings to your base, one on
the top right and one at the bottom. Put numerous Rocket Turrets for base
defense.

If you plan on attacking, I suggest that you attack the Ordos first. You can
also destroy the Smuggler’s base at the upper left corner of the screen if
you want. This is because Ordos is much stronger than Harkonnen at this
point. The Harkonnen won’t be a threat because they will run out of spice
early. So, build at 2 groups with at least 40 units each and attack Ordos
from 2 sides. Beware of the Ordos Deviator, which will turn your units into
theirs. Destroy them at once when you see them." ("A" Tadeo, 2001)

trust me the game play is hundred times its graphics,

also Diiimn the first part is mainly what i did, but i did get up to being able to block the bottom entry point with a wall, but they just keep on over powering me with all there units
and i have notice that the Harkonnen do stop sending troops

I've finished this game a long time ago, so I'll change my opinion and support you =)
