at least a 8800 SLI from Nvidia or X3870x2 from ATI (that has 1 gig ram)
4 gigs a memory, or 3, cuz WIndows 32 bit only supports 3 gigs.
then maybe atleast a good dual core, how about a 6750 or something from intel or maybe a slighter better one.
and a good PSU to support it all, 650 watts or so... from zalman i allways prefer.

well depends, imo, intel dual cores are better, depends how much $$ you have...
I mean, if u dont want extreme core gaming or something, then u could do with a dual 5200 or something, but imo, take in cosideration an Intel dual core...
but then u also have to change motherboard, prolly your ram, and if u had AGP graphic card, you need PCI-E now so :q

For example, alienwares...
you pay like 2x more then a normal, and its not worth it imo, i can build that myself...

yep agp's are useless now... I was initially planning to just upgrade my pc... then I found out that it didn't have a PCI-E slot, so >.>

Yea, maybe go for a P5K motherboard, an E6750, or E6850, hmm a 8800 Nvidia, ive allways been an ATI fan. at least a 400 watt PSU.
hmm get 3 gig ram, 4 gig is useless, because Windows xp 32 bit only supports 3...
only the 64 bit supports 8 gigz.
