Default which graphics card should i get for my PC? of these listed?

I currently have a (ATI radeon x700pro, 256mb, pci-express card) but i want to upgrade to something better after getting use of of this one for the last 5 years roughly. but there are so many out there i narrowed it down to the ones listed below i want THAT DONT cost a fortune. and of course i will buy it off amazon or ebay for 1/4 of the retail price.1. ATI radeon x1650pro, 512MB, ddr2 memory, 400mhz2. PNY verto geforce 7600 GS, 512MB, ddr2 memory,400mhznow when these cards say ddr2 memory will they work with my older pc (4 years) that use pc3200 ddr memory ram or does this have nothing to do with each otherI have a BFG 650watt power supply so i can connect up to 2 power supplys to a card. I want to get a geforce 8800 gts or gtx but there too out of the price range as of now! and i want to save that for a whole new custom built gaming pc so everything is up to date.

i would get the 1650 probably .. and the card memory has nothing to do with system ram .. it could be ddr3 or 4 on the card ... as long as the slot is the ryt type ..

both cards are 128 memory interface, 12 pixel pipelines the 1650 has a couple hundred mhz on the 7600 on the core speed... if their same price i would elect to go with the 1650http://profiles.yahoo.com/bamatstar_30

these two are basically the same. i would suggest at LEAST get a 7600gt instead of the gs. its really not worth buying these. they wont make much difference. the 7600gt is not expensive either. it has both agp and pci-e which wver one you have will work for you. I'm doing the same thing as you but I got the 7600gt because i want to last and be able to play new stuff and it does very well unbelievably. its still your choice. but im talking from experience. you can go check out the reviews on the videocards and prices yourself but im telling you so you won't. its your choice so good luck man.

I would save up and buy the 8800 gts. You can always put it in your new system when you build it.Also, the ATI redeon's GPU is 560 mhz, not 400. The pny card is crap. The eVGA 7600 GT KO is a much better card for cheaper (like $99, compared to the 109 and 150 of those two cards). If I had to choose from the two, I would go with the ATI.They should work on your old pc, provided you have a pci-express (preferably) or pci slot. If not, I believe that they both have AGP equivalents. If you will never be will to spend 250-300 on the 8800, go with the 8500. At least it's Directx 10.

Its not possible for your 5 year old card to be a pci-express card, don't you mean pci ?If your PC is 4 years old,it probably doesn't have a pci-express slot, so the cards you mentioned above won't work. You need to upgrade your motherboard, keep the power supply. The video card memory has nothing to do with the system memory

Both of those cards are bottom of the barrel and won't play new games at all (Bioshock, Crysis, etc) and will struggle even with older games (FEAR, CoD 2, etc). Sell your system and build something new if you want to game.Graphics card comparo chartx1600 DDR2 vs x1950pro, blue lines:http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphics_2007.html?modelx=33&model1=737&mo del2=725&chart=2767600gs vs x1950pro, blue lineshttp://www23.tomshardware.com/graphics_2007.html?modelx=33&model1=717&mo del2=725&chart=276The general consensus is that you need 40 FPS+ for fast paced action games for smooth gameplay.A decent gaming PC that can play most games on high settings at 1280x1024 can be built for $600, and every few hundred dollars more gets you noticeable better performance/parts. $1,200 will get you a quad-core and a top of the line graphics card that will push most games at 1080p with all the "eye candy" turned on.Here is a quick rundown of parts you can buy online for the aforementioned $600'ish gaming PC:$85 - Intel e2160http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116036 processorhttp://www.tomshardware.com/2007/09/12/pentium_dual_core/$70-80 - entry-level P35 motherboardhttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138075$60-70 - 2 x 1gb DDR2-800 performance RAMhttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146565$30 - Pioneer 112d DVD burnerhttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827129007$80 - 320gb Seagate 7200rpm Sata hard drivehttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148140$65 - Corsair 450watt 33amp power supplyhttp://www.buy.com/prod/corsair-vx-450w-power-supply/q/loc/101/205466485.html$120 - x1950pro graphics cardhttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161060Case is entirely up to you for the look you want and how much you want to spend, but you should always have a case with at least a 120mm intake and 120mm exhaust fan, as heat is what kill electronics. try a ati x1950 pro 512 its a 256 bit card yours is a 128 bit well that is memory interface anyway and you can find a saphire x1950pro on ewiz.com for about $150 or try pricewatch and for price to comparison nvidia 8800gts is slower than than the ati firegl 5600 and they are around the same price but i think you would be happy with a x1950 pro they do range in price but they are worth it

Default Just my advise

If you are looking for a graphic card for gaming so do I prefer you to buy an NVIDIA GeForce 8800 Gts. As I see it so buy the Graphic card with most memory, then you will be able to use them for a long time. THe Cpu is clocked 650 Mhz and that is quite good. I have been testing it on my own computer system, and there was no problems running all games at max.. GO buy Asus GeForce 8800 GTS 512Mb GDDR3. Pci-express.

The Graphic card is very cheap, and it's better than many 8800gtx cards and some Ultra cards.
I have tested it by my own!. Just as another tip, these graphic cards they are very large, so make sure so you get space!. The Cooling system is very good and it is quiet.

Are you looking for a graphic card you would like to have some years so pick this. The Cpu core is large and it's not producing much temprature, so it is well suited for overclocking as well if you get any '' lagg '' in further game play
