Default Which MMORPG will YOU choose?

This is a basic poll. You will choose the game that you think is the funnest and most worth the money. I've did the liberty of narrowing down your choices.1. The almighty World of Warcraft2. Guild Wars3. Everquest4. Matrix online5. Star Wars Galaxies6. Lord of the Rings online7. City of Heroes/City of Villains8. Dungeons and Dragons9. Age of Conan10. Phantasy Star Online11. Vanguard12. Rose Online13. Other (please type out the game name)So once again choose one that you play/find fun/think is the greatest.Person who best clarifies why their game is so great with specifics will receive ten points.

World of WarcraftGuild WarsRunescapeThese 3 are great MMORPGs. With WoW, you have to buy the game then pay $15 a month. It is really fun and has good graphics. Lots of gameplay. With Guild Wars, you buy the game and have free online play. The graphics are like WoW, but the concept is so much different.Runescape has 2 versions. The free and members. Members pay $5 a month, and get alot more options in the game. The graphics arent as good as GW and WoW but RS is just as fun.I play lots of games. =p

I've gotta go with Guild Wars....here's why1. You pay for it once and can play it forever. No monthly fees. yes that's right. NONE! While everyone else pays 10, 15, 20 bucks a month to play, I can play for free all I want. This is great because if I don't play for 20 or 30 days, I don't feel like I've wasted my money.2. Graphics and free updates. The graphics are great, even for a game that's a few years old. Plus they come out with free updates all the time so you have new stuff to do once you cap out.3. Great game balancing and mechanics. The classes are balanced very well and can work great together. There is also a crafting element to the game as well as plenty of sweet loot!4. Can have multiple characters. With the base game, you can start 4 characters and play them all concurrently. 5. Is instance-based. When you are in town, you are with everyone else on the server. When you go out into the world, the game creates a world just for you and your party. No more farming groups, no more competing for loot with a dozen other players at a monster spawn point.6. The game plays great solo, or with a group. Most of the missions can be done solo. But you can team up with a group to make it more effective. Can't find a group? Get some AI henchmen to follow you into battle.7. Guild Wars 2 is coming soon! It's going to be subscription free as well.8. Great quests. I have had enough of those "Go kill 15 rats and bring me 15 rat's skulls" The quests in Guild Wars are actually great, and help to move the story along. 9. Lends itself to various play styles. Are you a tank? A healer? A mage? What kind of mage? Earth? Fire? Ice? You can play a ton of different ways. You will get a second class soon in the game so you can be a warrior/mage. or a hunter/mesmer. There are a ton of possibilities and great builds.10. No more, OOPS! I put too many points in this, or I shoulda put more points in that. If you don't like where your stat points are allocated, then change them! Yes you are no longer stuck with your level 20 mage that is maxxed out with swordsman skills and useless buffs. You can reallocate your points and get the character that you want, or tinker around and find something that suits your play style the best. There's my top ten reasons why you should play Guild Wars.Hope this helps! :-)

Old Star Wars Galaxies (pre-combat upgrade and new game enhancements) was the most fun I've ever had with a game. Imagine this, you create a character in the Star Wars universe and live out your fantasy. Thats right, a normal person, and you can do anything. You could have houses. Decorate the houses how you please. Then you could own shops and sell goods that you create. Player cities too. You create the freaking city and start it up with REAL people and your the REAL mayor. Sometimes player residents could reach upscale of 500. You could have the biggest city on the planet if you wanted to. Becoming a Jedi, rebel, imperial, etc are in there. Along with having your own animals to ride on and land vehicles, like swoop bikes and land speeders. All of this, of course, fully customizable. Wanna be a smuggler? Sure. Wanna be an expert marksman? Sure. Wanna be a martial arts master? Sure. Want to be a doctor? Ok. How about a droid engineer? Of course. Hey, how about a bounty hunter that can hunt down real player Jedi and crimals for cash? Go for it. Almost anything was possible to be in this game. Hey, you could even be a hair stylist or a fashion designer. What MMORPG has that?So much things were added in the game, and since the game was its own player run economy, that meant there was not a single NPC vendor. Everything you purchased was made from real players. This allowed your shop, in the game, to become popular on that planet; or maybe of the whole server. People would even set up their own bars and it would become an actual popular hangout. Not to mention with the expansion you could have your own ship. Ships ranged from X-Wings to Millennium Falcon types. The bigger ships allowed you to transport people and fully deck it out inside. Also, when you get into a fight, people could man the turrets and help you out. You would engage with NPC and player star ships. Player star ships could actually board your ship and start attacking (think of when Darth Vader boarded the rebel blockade runner in the start of the first movie). You could even engage in massive PVP firefights of rebels versus imperial, in space AND on ground. Just like in the movies. In many ways, SWG was innovative. They took a very big risk in trying to let the players run the game world. Oh, and let me tell you, they succeeded. Thats of course until they messed it all up. The game is completely different now. Which is unfortunate, since they thought they could make it better, but it really isn't. SOE is horrible. They killed the greatest game I've played. Hopefully, a resurrection processes is in the making. So when SWGemu gets up and runnings, I urge you to check it out. Because that game was the stuff of legends. Gaming perfection. World of Warcraft what? It pails in comparison to what Star Wars Galaxies once was.

Heroes at Your CommandGuild Wars has always had NPC henchmen you could use to fill out your party on missions, but Nightfall takes this concept a step further. It introduces a new kind of henchmen called Heroes, which are unlocked as you progress through the storyline and can then be added to your group in any town. Unlike henchmen, Heroes level alongside your character and you have full access to their skills and equipment. You can outfit them and tweak their builds in much the same way that you can with your own character. In battle you can bring up an action bar for each Hero that gives you access to their skills and a few other controls. You can move them around either individually or as a group by placing flags on the minimap or the play field. It’s nice to have this added control over NPCs, and it adds an entirely new dimension to the game, even though you have to rely on the AI a lot because it’s very difficult to manage more than your own character and a couple Heroes in real time.Another nice thing about Heroes is that they are a great way to explore the multitude of skills and builds in Guild Wars without giving up a character slot. One curious aspect of Heroes is that they do tend to encourage solo play, which is a little odd for a multiplayer game. You can complete the entire Nightfall campaign with only Heroes and henchmen if you so desire. Assuming they are at the keyboard, I think even novice players are better than the AI-controlled Heroes, but Heroes are reliable, and they never complain if you suddenly go AFK for 20 minutes.MMorpgs information in IGSKY

I think guild wars as it is free to play online once you've bought it and the gameplay is great.
