Powerleveling in MMORPG's. How is this done?

I am curious as to how these powerleveling services for World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings Online, and others actually powerlevel and "farm gold". Is it actually a scam?

Most are scams.All will get you banned from the game (your current account closed).There is a comment in the EULA (End User Licensing Agreement) that You wil not under any circusmtances share your PASSWORD with anyone. For anyone else to "level" for you or "farm gold" they will need your password (Of corse, that's how the scams work too, once they have your passowrd they simply trade all of your in game items and cash to themselves or one of thier friends. And you PAID THEM REAL MONEY TO DO IT!).In any case, if you report it You get banned since you broke the EULA. Also, there is usually a comment in the EULA about not using "bots", (programs that play the game for you) and a "bot" is what a "legitimate" service (if there are any) would being using to "level" or "farm". If thier "bot" is detected by the server YOUR account gets banned (and NEITHER of them will refund your money).Why not just play the game?
