Lineage 2 - What is it?

Well guys, Lineage2 is an MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game)
surprise!
Lineage II: The Chaotic Throne - Top Fantasy MMORPG by NCsoft
in fact It is one of the biggest MMORPG's out there, i bet some of you guys will say, wtf is lineage2. ill explain to you why.
Lineage2 is made by asians/koreans, all same >.>
and they just dont advertise for L2, never did neither.
but they have 15 mill sold accounts.
it started with L1 allmost 8 years ago.
4 years ago, open beta came out. then they announced that the game will come out in 12 chronicles, then went till 5, but then they started calling them chronicles "Chaotic Thrones", so about every half year or something a new one came out, with new weapons, level upgrades, etc.
like updates on guildwars and WoW, but then for free!
It is also a montly paying game also. 14.99$ after buying the game 19.99$
made by NCsoft also known as "Guild Wars" "Aion" "Warhammer" "Age of Cohan" etc.

-The goal of the game is ofcurz, get one of the highest level's, but different on this one, if u are that, your actually nothing...
for neutral people the meaning of the game is then, just discover new friends and weapons, get the highest weapons, what is allmost impossible, i will explain later.
So you start at lvl 1. with 6 different races
first of all



-Human

Humans in Lineage II are similar to Humans in the modern world. Humans currently have the greatest dominion in the world and the largest population.

Special Abilities of the Race: Although Humans do not possess any special abilities, their strong point is the fact that they can transfer to the most specialized classes.

Characteristics: Humans are well-balanced in all of their characteristics.

-Dark Elf

Dark Elves were once part of the Elven tribes, but were banished after they learned black magic in order to obtain the power to fight Humans. They lost the battle, but continued to study the dark arts. Dark Elves have similar features to their Elven brethren, but are taller, have blue-gray skin, and silver hair. They follow Shilen, the goddess of Death.

Special Abilities of the Race: Compared to other races, Elves can hold their breath longer and are better able to jump from high places.

Characteristics: Since they possess high STR and INT, the Dark Elven attack capability is high.

-Elf

The race of Elves worships the goddess of water and loves nature and aquatic life. The Elves have slim and nimble bodies, long ears, and beautiful features. During the era of giants, among all creatures they held the most power. However, when the giants were destroyed, the power and influence of the Elves were also diminished. Now they only inhabit part of the forest in Aden.

Special Abilities of the Race: Compared to other races, Elves can hold their breath longer and are better able to jump from high places.

Characteristics: Elves are wise and quick-witted. They are fast in attack, movement and casting speeds. They also have superior marksmanship skills and higher evasion ratings. However, their attack strength is inferior to that of other races.

-Dwarf

Dwarves are of the race of earth. They have strong physical strength, a curious nature, and a fondness for creating new items. After the destruction of the giants, the Dwarven race always tried to side with the most powerful race in the land. However, as a result they became an isolated race - disliked by all other races for their profiteering nature. Their society structure can be compared to a large corporation and they are still renowned for their business savvy and capacity for organization. Dwarves are largely divided into Scavengers who find and retrieve raw materials, and Artisans who manufacture products out of raw materials.

Special Abilities of the Race: Their inventory size is larger than that of other races and, compared to other races, their weight penalty is lower.

Characteristics: Dwarves are master craftsmen and boast of great physical strength.

-Orc

The Orc race is the race of fire. Among all races, Orcs possess the greatest physical abilities. After the destruction of the giants, they were able to expel the Elves and attained the most powerful position on Aden. However, they were defeated by the Elf-Human alliance some time later, and are currently living in an arctic area of Elmore.

Special Abilities of the Race: They have a strong resistance to negative effects, such as poison or sickness.

Characteristics: Orcs have superior physical strength, with high maximum HP and MP levels. They also have a fast recovery speed. However, they are not quick and have slow movement, attack, and casting speeds. They have low marksmanship and evasion as well.

-Kamael, a new race since the last Chaotic Throne. which im self not really familiar with.

Kamael were born in the Era of Myths. These mysterious creatures have preserved their own unique culture living within the confines of the Isle of Souls, a haven located to the west of the Dark Elf Village. They appeared on the continent under the guidance of the Gods. Unlike the other five races that were created by gods, it is speculated that they were created for the purpose of battling against some unknown creatures. They are born into their destined religion that serves an absolute ruler called the “Mother Nornil”. Under the Mother Nornil, they devote their faith in the Goddess of Past, who rules history, the Goddess of Present, who records everything happening at this moment, and the Goddess of Future, who forecasts what’s to come.

Special Abilities of the Race: Kamael have an affinity towards darkness. Because of this they can increase their own or decrease an enemy’s resistance to darkness, or bestow a darkness buff to their attacks. The Kamael can consume the souls of their enemies and turn the souls into energy to fuel their own skills. Most of their skills such as laying traps, buffs and magic can only be activated upon consuming a certain number of souls. The Kamael can only wear Light Armor, and when using recovery magic, a 60% penalty is applied.

Characteristics: The Kamael specialize in different classes according to their gender. They are classified as fighters by default; however, spell abilities are usable by absorbing souls.

-Well now that you all know the different race sand classes; ill give some personal experience and info about every char in pvp and gameplay.

*Human

Fighter:

-*Warlord (short WL):
-info and PVE (person vs enemy, or mobs):
this is a very special class. actually its the "pole" class. This char is quite easy to level, if u know how to play with it. so best is to find a steady party, with a prophet, healer (SE,SE,Bish).
Best thing to do next is find a good level spot, what are some good leveling spots? well Catacombs (2-1) actually...
what catacombs are, youll find at the bottom of this post.
best thing to do then, is run into the room, let the mobs auto agro you, run out, find a corner to stand in, then target the middlest mob you can find and smack it, it auto smacks all the mobs around it, so u can kill 30 mobs at a time, also called AoE (Area of effect, explains itself)
This is one of the fastest lvling you can have. if u find as buffer this kind of party, if he has good gear and weaps, you can lvl(level from now on).
even till the highest levels.
-PVP: well, actually its quite hard to pvp with this actually, even tho they have quite big amount of CP(Combat points, if u pvp this one drops be4 your HP) and HP(healing points).
but they dont do the best damage a character can give. so its quite hard, but cool for mass pvp, to do "AoE stun" so their immobilized, and you can have backup from better classes.

-*Gladiator(glad)
-info and pve: This is one of the cooler classes to level with. they wear 2 swords, and can do some serious amount of damage, they have some ranger attacks, but they have to build up some focus, so they can shoot a canon of focus to your enemy (to say it simple.)
they can take alot of hits from mobs too. so they are used as a small tank too in catacombs.
but their quite useless without buffs.
not that easy to lvl, because till high level, they dont do THAT much damage, so its a little harder.
-PvP: one of the better classes to pvp with, their not that slow, once they get to the enemy, they can cause some serious damage. because they can take alot of hits too, and they have some hard ranged attacks too.

-*Paladin (Pala)
-info and pve: One of the better tanks in the game, their one of the best tanks actually, they can take alot of hits, have some nice UD's (Ultimate Defense, so you get like 3 damage a mob :q and if u have 15K damage, thats quite nice)
but that has crappy reuse time.
well, in partys, till around 45 at raid bosses, they use them alot, but then, its a pain in the ass to level tbh. they dont get any party's allmost, because they dont really need it in swift party's, their just XP leechers, and they barely do damage... only nice thing is shield bash, which immobilise for a long time.
at very high lvl, their wanted again, for high raids, epic raids, and pvp grps.
-Pvp: their just SOO hard to beat at high lvl. exept if they outnumber you, you have ally UD, which makes your whole party members who are in your clan and ally, allmost immortal.
you can shield bash and do some serious damage with skills to enemy's, and they can take so many hits, so their hard to take down.

-*Dark Avenger (DA)
-info and pve: Actually this is a cool class to play with, its like the hunter in WoW, you can allmost solo with it till early 60's.
their best skill is ofcurz, summon dark panther, you can summon your own pet. which does so hardcore much damage. so you can duo with it alot. allmost everywhere, with a buffer, a killing team.
-Pvp: same as the paladin, can take ALOT of hits, can do ranged damage, due of his pet, and he can relax from a distance. but once its dead, your also quite dead... :Q but its still a pain to fight them.

-*Treasure Hunter(TH)
-info and pve: most ppl choose this as the "perfect" dagger, it has very fast speed, attack speed, nice skills to attack.
with a buffer, allmost mortal to all mobs around. exept them with dagger resistance xD
-Pvp: just a god... it can do crits from a couple K, so you can take your enemy down with a couple of skills. hits very hard in crits etc. you can at lvl 77 use the skill bluff, makes your enemy turn around, then backstab, and that instead of taking Combat points, goes straight to the HP. which is really nice. lethal blow, which can allmost kill your enemy in 1 hit. conclusion= a god.

-*Hawkeye(HE)
-info and pve: allmost one of the most choosen classes for a archer, nice attack speed, nice skills, nice to duo with a buffer. good for damage, can take some hits, just a good archer.
-pvp: well allmost same as a TH, a god...
it has nice Stun skills, Double shot (explains itself), lethal blow, Power shot (explains itself). and crits hard, which can take your enemy down in couple of shots, and that from a range... so its quite ownage. kind of screwed vs a tank tho.

-Mystic

-*Sorcerer/Sorceress(Sorc)
-info and pve: well, its a quite boring character tbh to level it, it has only one skill called prominence, so you will see the skill a couple billion times while leveling, but its a fire mage, so does some nice damage, but not one of my favorite characters to level, since it takes alot of Mp to lvl these too.
-pvp: well then their quite nice, since they have nice casting speed and some serious damage with them fire skills, they have a sleep skill, which can sleep the enemy, while it can heal itself for example. his vortexes (every mage class gets this at S grade, 76+, which slows his enemys, on p attack, speed, p attack speed etc. so can take daggers and archers quite nice.

-*Necromancer(Necro)
-info and pve: well, some of you quite know what a necromancer is, actually it can summon pets who do quite lot damage, and their damage on their skills is soo nice, they can "anchor" a mob or person, which immobilises them for a looooong time, so once u got that, your quite dead... mob or person. and they dont use that alot of MP. so nice to lvl.
-pvp: actually a god :Q they can immobilise a enemy, so they can kill them slow and nice, they can transfer damage to their summoned pet, which makes them take some nice hits.

-*Warlock(WK)
-Info and pve: one of the weirdest classes of L2, its a summoner, actually thats it. they summon cats, which do NICE damage, so they dont do any damage themself, their pets do all the damage, they have skills to buff their cats, and heal and all that stuff. they can solo alot of nice stuff with a buffer. at high level their quite wanted, because they can summon persons from their party to a spot where they are.
and their cat (that cat doesnt do damage, well allmost none) has a buff for whole the party, which increases crit rate, and crit damage rate. so very nice for archer partys, or normal partys with fighters.
-Pvp: them, their a pain, their cats, can pwn your ass anytime :q but once his cat is down, your dead meat too :Q
you can take like couple hits, beng your down; but you can send your cat from a distance :q so thats kind of ranged.

-*Bishop(Bish)
-info and pve: well in pve, they suck, they dont do ANY damage. so in the beginning thats for players who dont play L2 very weird; only vs undead monsters, but you dont have alot of them fields, so really hard to lvl them; but once you got a little higher, ALOT of partys want you, all raid groups looking for a kickass healer as you, you can give with one heal allmost full health to a normal char; you have insane group heals, remove curses etc. just a NICE healer. so all raids, and big ass partys want you. if it requires some healing.
-pvp: well, to pvp yourself thats impossible :q you need a grp to pvp, you can heal your party members, but makes you the target alot, because they will go for you first mostly, but a very nice char to play in pvp, make your teams quite imortal with your heals and with "celestial shield" an invisable shield which makes them immortal for 15 seconds.

-*Prophet(PP)
-info and pve: one of the easiest classes to level, EVERY party wants a prophet. well actually they need one, only thing you have to do is, every 20 minutes rebuff your whole party. and then sit on your but and watch your teammates kill mobs.
what are buffs? well those are lil advantages you give your fellow players, they cant survive without them.
-Might: gives p attack boost to your party members
-shield, gives more p def
-acument, increases psychical attack speed (casting speed)
-guidance, increases acuracy
-death whisper; increases critical damage

those are some examples, their is a whole list, so after you buffed, your out of mp, and you can just sit on your bun.
since u can XP quite fast, its an awesome char if your lazy :q just gotta come back every 19-20 mins.
-pvp: well actually, your nothing with a prophet... only thing u can do is buff up your party be4 starting pvp and root your enemy, makes them no move from their spot, their rooted to the ground, but this fails alot. what u can do is mana burn versus mages, makes their mana disappear. but u die so fast. so isnt quite fun




OK THAT WAS IT FOR TODAY, i did humans tonight, tomorrow 2 more races for you guys, and some other random stuff i have to tell you about L2.

Now im going to sleep, Ill edit this post everyday, to come one of the worlds biggest and best Intro's to L2 and explenations.
