Since Guild Wars 2 is now in developement, I felt that we should have a thread to post/discuss the new things that have been announced so far. This thread will be continually updated as more information is released.
Controls Brand new control system ladies and gentleman. The most noted will be that the mouse movement in the form of "click to move" is now gone. Also a new "Z-axis" will be introduced, so that characters can jump over obstacles. Interacting with the environment such as swimming is also being added. Graphics Better graphics. Not much else to say here. Persistence The game will be on multiple servers or "worlds," but players will not be bound to a world and may change worlds as they would districts, except that they encompass the entire game, instead of just an outpost. There will be changes to the instancing system used. Persistent areas, similar to those traditionally used in other online multiplayer games, will be introduced to Guild Wars which may allow players to meet and interact while exploring. Characters Sorry but you can't use your old characters from Guild Wars, as there are going to be all new races and technologies added. The level cap is also being raised. It's been suggested that it could reach as much as 100, or even unlimited. Also, a "side-kick" system is being added, which would allow lower level characters to play along side high level characters without disadvantage. The skill system is also being modified. There will be fewer and less complex skills. There are going to be entirely new races in Guild Wars 2. So far five playable races have been announced: -Asura Info -Charr Info -Human Info -Norn Info -Sylvari Info Companions The system of companions and allies is being reworked. Companions will have customization similar to Heroes. Players will be allowed to bring a single companion with them, who will not take up a party slot and are considered an extension of the character. When a player chooses not to bring a companion, their character will instead be buffed so that they will not be disadvantaged by not bringing a companion. *Thanks to Guild Wars Wiki for a lot of this info. **More updates will continue to be added.

For me it all depends on the profession. if i want a Warrior, then i will choose a norn obivously. If i want to be a elementalist, then i would be a aursa, and so on and so on.
