Default Is it bad to use your laptop if it's over 90F in your room?

Can my CPU or graphics card overheat? Is my hard drive more likely to fail in either the short term or long term? I already plugged in and removed my battery to avoid it from overheating.Should I avoid system intensive tasks? I use Vista, which uses about 50% of my CPU sometimes.

90F is hot, but it's not going to hurt it dude. You get over 100F then maybe. Just point a box fan at YOU and the PC. It'll be fine, unless the thing is ancient.Your graphics card is probably nothing fancy in a laptop anyways as it's most likely embedded on the motherboard. It's not drawing the crap load of power and generating the heat like a desktop card does.If you're really worried, go into the power options and set it up as laptop/portable and the processor will draw less power, causing it to run "less" faster. : )

I just came across a site that sends you a laptop for free! I'm ordering mine right now, it's a Sony VAIO and it looks really hot!

Sure it is. Try buying some fans for the room or even a freezer
Just try not putting it under pressure like playing games or using programs which need a lot of ram and cpu usage. Just browse the web and chat with friends and you won't have any problems. You can always go and use it on some places with WiFi free zones.
Good luck.

It depends on how old is your laptop, what brand it is, and what you're doing on the laptop. I ran into the same problem when I was trying to play Secondlife on my laptop. Here's what I did. Install software that will tell you the temperature of your computer, I can't remember where to install (or if its already on your computer) but I'm sure someone here will help you out

Also, get a cooling fan for your laptop they sell these at Best Buy, Walmart, etc.
If you can, go somewhere where there's air-conditioning such as another part of the house.
Try using your laptop in spurts. For example using the laptop for one hour, shut it off, let it cool down, wait an hour, and repeat the process.

I know you don't want to me to say this but depending on your situation, the best method might just be to not use the laptop except for early in the morning and in the evenings when it's not so hot, I know it sucks but it beats a fried laptop that you can't use at all.
