1. How much time are you available to devote to MMOTP? S: M: T: W: T: F: S: (in hours please)
-> All in Hours
2. Have you had past Moderating experience before? If so what website/forum? I have been on and off with moderating over the past couple of years. Here's a list of what I can recall where I did an impactive work of moderation. the Enforcers - Small clan website that dealt with n00b hackers and spammers frequently a while back. TeenHelp.org - A forum devoted to helping teens out with an array of areas that also was a target of spam attacks and had the common immature posters. argentguard.com - Extinct website that dealt with games and general talk. Held an admin position before the website went under. 3. What is your monthly desired pay? (Keep in mind we are on a budget) Whatever is reasonable to the powers that be. I feel that being paid to do something straight off the bat wouldn't be fair. If I perform the job up that sizes up to the expectations of the powers-that-be, then whatever fits within the revenue. 4. Why do you want to be part of the MMOTP staff? Being at a military college, we're usually stuck within the confounds of the campus for most of our time here. I usually find myself refreshing certain websites all day, and it gets very boring, very quickly. Something to productively occur my time would be awesome. I have been constantly trying to find a good community to get involved in for many months now. Either the forums that I've observed have been overrun with spam and adverts, or they are just very inactive. I believe this forum invests a lot in its members, and it shows. Plus, the RPG element is revolutionary and I'd love to volunteer to help out with moving that along as well. 5. If one of our members were to insult you, go to a low level with you and say awful things that might offend you. How would you handle this situation? Please be extremely specific with this question. Depending on the circumstance, it could go either of two ways. If the post had been up for a while and a good number of the community had seen it, I'd feel it would be best to address the post directly and reply to it in the thread. Not get overheated over the Internet drama, but showcase a strong form of maturity and cool-headedness to the rest of the community. Basically give off the idea that someone can't make the moderator go hay-wire with an insulting post, but at the same time let people know that it won't be welcome, either. If it the post had been up for an hour or two, it may call for an immediate removal from public access into a "trash-can" type forum where all bad topics go, instead of being deleted. The forum member would then be addressed with PM, or sent up the moderator chain, depending on the severity of the post and insult. -=-=-=-=-=-=- Thanks for your time guys. Look forward to working with you all.
