On the side of the package, it should say "no monthly fee" or "free online play" or something to that effect.

If you wanna play counter-strike it's for free but i have originaly steam acc and cost just 10$ for 1 life time. You can play whit steam if you have a clan in PGL

well if u wanne play free u will have to play offline if u buy a cd-key its 15euro or so and u can play for a lifetime cause using cracks is nerfed now u will get ban very fast and/or key will be already in use so i woud advice you to go buy css in a shop

CS Is free, but some games like HALO 2 VISTA need a subscription (gold silver bronze/xbl.)
