Default just checked provisioning kinda fuzzy

ok looking on the wiki page for potbs, it seems that either you need EVERY "edible" resource to make ship provisons OR you only need to focus on one type of food
Pack Ship Provisions - PotBS Wiki

it looks like you need fish meat bread wine etc to make 1 unit of ship provisons if that is the case YEESH!
OR you just input 1 of the food types in the quantity needed to make 1 unit of ship provisions. IE 1 cheese = 1 unit ship provisons I don't think it will be that easy however. i'm guessing it requires all.

guess will have to wait and see on monday LOL just saw the fishing village acts as a shipyard for all the "tiny ships". interesting to note that it also gives recipes for building ships when you build it.

also of note the plantation general allows you to make 3 different food types as well as making hemp. thought it required a seperate plantation for each type that is kinda cool. maybe the rope/sail maker should also do provisions?
since you can harvest wheat and hemp from same farm.
so buildings would be plantation, fish village, dairy, grain mill, bakery, provisioner-the only thing is it looks like the dairy, bakery and provisoner buildings can all make ship provisions...man I wish wiki was more user friendly

the one thing that will slow do production is the lack of the "advanced structures" needed to make stuff. I just read a lengthy post from an "guy who works in economics in RL" that the game is doomed to fail because of the lack of resources needed to make many of the buildings-LOL he used my leather idea as an example of how FT's can "price gouge the server" because you cant make leather til you find/buy some and allegedly those "few who can" will "own the economy"...maybe it's just me but can't anyone kill ships and get leather to drop or what? also is it just me or do you hate people who say "is it just me"

anyway throwing it out there

I'd say, not worry about it. There will be balancing and bug issues in the first few months, but none of them are unfixable. If they find a certain material is lacking, they can put it in, just like how they mass put in stuffs in the auction house for the last day of beta.

I think Ren wanted me to address this. While I dont work in economics in RL, hell I'm just an enlisted guy in the Navy, I can tell you a bit more about games in general than most people. I am a nerd. I've played MMO's for the last 10 years. As to something breaking the economy, its total bull. Whats cool about this game is unlike other games where you have to spend lots, lots, and lots of time leveling up your tradeskill. In PotBS all you need is a building, a book, and a little time. For this reason its easy to change what you are producing if you find that your chosen profession is a bit too full. Anyone can produce any item, at any level, with minimal investment. So when you see someone talking about some item breaking the economy just think to yourself that the person really hasent played the game, or looked anything up, or even really had a thought that made sense. Unless I am wrong, which I dont think I am, the plantation can build any of the 4 items they give the recipie for. PS dont use the wiki, use Pirates Of The Burning Sea News, Trailers, Screenshots, Previews, Reviews, Guides -- Pirates Of The Burning Sea Vault

I'll post a thread on the buildings and locations needed for a provisioner if anyone wanted to do that in the plantation owner thread.
