Society Position and Descriptions

Leader - The leader of Armada is in essence the man(or woman) in the society.

Officers - The officers of Armada will make decisions with the society leader, and assist in the execution of those decisions.

Mentors - The Armada will have two mentors for each class. The mentors should most likely be those who have extensive knowledge on his/her class. Being a mentor is a huge responsibility as well as honor. Because you are obligated to answer a reasonable question asked by any member.

Accountant - The secretary will be the one keeping track of the forums. You will be keeping track of reputation of each member, including yourself's. The position requires you to be extremely trustworthy.

Recruiting Officer - The recruiting officer is responsible of keep pumping in new blood into our society. This is one of the most vital position and can help you build relationship with new members from the start.

When will we be able to start voteing ect? should also be posted in this topic after all the game doesnt start till 1/7/08 for pre-boarding party.

lol. Your replies do come speedy! As of right now with a few members, It doesn't make sense to have a election. I might be possible to have our first election on 1/6/08, so everyone knows what they are doing when the game starts.

Sounds really good and yah it doesnt make sense atm to have a election I was asking tho for the date of when we should start as for my fast replys on forums I would have to blam EverQuest 2 and other guild forums from being a member/officer/leader.

Was looking at the descriptions of the various positions of Armada and thought there might be some conflict regarding the Leader description. The description doesn't define the leader only that it says, "Leader - The leader of Armada is in essence the man(or woman) in the society."

Just my feeling that this is so vague that anyone "elected" to this position will run into nothing but trouble if they need to make a decision regarding Armada. In my experience, Leader has the power to make sole decisions regarding the guild, often times requiring the concensus of two main officers (making 3 votes total so decision will be made).

My experience comes solely from EQ and EQII - having formed my own guilds and being a single dad (lol) with two kids.....

If Armada is based on a pure democracy, I have found in general that doesn't work except in dreams of a perfect society. Anyway- I found the heirarchy to be rather vague and was wondering who is and does what in Armada?

This rank is reserved for our Leader. The Leader sets guild permissions, conducts guild meetings, and promotes members. He relies heavily on the advice and wishes of Senior Officers when making guild decisions, however he does have the final deciding vote.
