Strider and the four hobbits leave Bree and travel to weathertop. During the night, five of the Nine ring wraiths attacked their camp. Frodo put on the ring, the Witch king of Angmar stabbed him with a morgul blade, frodo passed out, Strider chases them off with fire. They keep watch all night and in the morning trip over frodo's body (which they still can't see because he has the ring on), they pull the ring off his finger, find the knife (which is notched at the tip) it dissolves in the light and they leave with all haste for Rivendell (which takes 15 days, I think). The rest happens in Flight to the Ford. Please remember that Arwen had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with getting Frodo into Rivendell....NOTHING at all.
