First: Choose two gathering proffesions...skinning, mining or herbalism. That way you can sell everything you gather instead of spending money at the trainer to learn new recipes and buying materials to craft things.Second: Do your quests. Quests offer money as rewards. Plus the items that you receive as rewards can be sold to the vendors for money. There are add-ons like "auctioneer" that will tell you how much gold an item is worth so you can choose the one with the highest sell value if you dont plan to use one of the items.Third: Dont waste money buying things at the auction house. If you are doing your quests you should be getting all the armor and weapons you need.Fourth: Pick up all the trash that the mobs drop, the sell value really adds up. Fifth: Choose your instance/dungeon groups carefully, dying a lot cost a fortune in repairs. But a good run should give you a bunch of "green" or "blue" items that can be sold at the auction house.Lastly: Do your dailies once you hit level 70! You can earn as much as 200+ gold per day just from dailies.I know some or all of this may seem like common sense, but that what I did and I have never been broke and never had to borrow money for a mount or anything. I even got flyer right when i turned level 70.
